On Children’s Day, a march was held in Dnepropetrovsk in support of family values

On June 1, Children’s Day, a march in support of traditional family values and against the promotion of homosexuality in Ukraine was held in Dnipropetrovsk. Despite unfavorable weather conditions, about 200 people – representatives of various public organizations – participated in the action. The protesters marched along the embankment from Serov Street to the Festival Pier chanting “Dad, Mom, I am a happy family”, “Healthy, strong families – yes; promotion of perversions – no”, “Dad, Mom – good; Dad, Dad – bad”.

“Today’s march was attended by people who are not indifferent to what is happening in the country, to the values they are trying to impose on us from the outside. Bill 2342 “About amendments to some legislative acts of Ukraine concerning prevention and counteraction to discrimination of sexual minorities in Ukraine” was submitted to the Verkhovna Rada. This was done in order to ensure that Ukrainian human rights standards meet certain European and world criteria. But there is no need to do this because Article 24 of the Constitution of Ukraine says that all citizens have equal rights, that there can be no privileges or restrictions based on race, color of skin, political, religious or other beliefs, sex, social origin, or other characteristics.

Representatives of “sexual minorities” talk about human rights. But the rights and desires of any human being are limited by certain natural norms, moral norms and laws. In general, it would be more natural to allow people to walk the streets naked. But no one does. We are against violence and we do not encourage anyone to go into the bedrooms to find out the orientation of this or that person. We are against the promotion of homosexuality and its normalization. It is more and more common to hear the opinion that there are fewer and fewer real men who are capable of doing something. Legalizing homosexuality would certainly not help to increase the number of real men. Plus Ukraine has a difficult demographic situation. Same-sex relationships and marriages are not natural and unnatural and are against the spiritual values of our people. And it is very symbolic that the march is being held on Children’s Day. We will do everything in our power to first and foremost protect our children from these so-called values of the civilized world. We are for the healthy and strong traditional families. There must not be a transfer to a Kozat family,” said Oleg Chistopoltsev, STREET WORKOUT movement participant, one of the march organizers.

After the march participants of the movement “STREET WORKOUT” held a competition in which they showed their skills and urged everyone for themselves and for future generations to lead a healthy lifestyle and set a good example for their children.

On May 25 in Dnipropetrovsk, as well as in other cities of Ukraine, protested against the legalization of homosexual rights.
